SIMPLY GLAMOUR BY CHRISTINA JONES. by Kelsey Jones

Christina Jones - my fabulously talented cousin.

Last fall, Christina made the leap to start her own venture and be her own boss. Having worked at top-rated salons while running her real estate business on the side, she knew she had what it takes to make it on her own - although it did scare her shitless:)

Having helped convince her to make the leap, I began working with her to develop herself as a brand. We brainstormed her business name, created a Google business account, and crafted business cards. I asked her if she planned to have a website. She expressed her concern regarding the cost of development and wasn't entirely sure if it was necessary. I shared my perspective on the importance of a website to establish her business - potential clients could visit her site, see her work, services, prices - and they would feel confident booking at simply glamour. In today's day and age, the first thing people do before booking any type of experience, is a little research. I illustrated my perspective by perusing various salon and stylist websites. We examined those that are a complete disaster - broken links, horrible images, poor formatting. I knew personally I would never visit a business that represents themselves in that way and I could tell Christina was beginning to as well.

I offered my services and she sat on the proposal for while. One Sunday afternoon, while consulting and problem-solving Christina's Google business account, she finally made the leap. I could tell she wasn't entirely sure my skills were up to par, but I was stoked to prove her wrong! I worked through the night to create something Christina could view in the morning that would allow her to be at ease knowing she was in good hands - and I did just that. She was shocked to see her visions come to life through a website she felt portrayed her to a "t." The majority of the work was completed in a week. Looking back, Christina sees her website as one of the best decisions she made in establishing her business.

If you're in the Milwaukee area and need a little tlc, Christina works magic....and she's good for a few laughs.

It's a family affair. Images in the montage below by my brother - Thomas Hunter Photography. Video by me. Check out Simply Glamour.
