Next time you're in the midst of a trying time, take five minutes to reflect on something you're grateful for - a skill, a person, a situation that was life-changing.
Think about it, write about it, draw - use some form of outlet.
In addition to recognizing something you're grateful for, think about other challenges you've had to overcome. What tools did you use to cope? Were they effective or detrimental? Reorganize your toolkit to include only those that were beneficial.
Unfortunately life isn't always fair. Bad things happen to good people. Focusing on life's beauty only serves to help stay on track and recognize there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
